If you’re flying through Porto Airport (OPO) with hours to spare, you don’t have to sit around with your bags. The airport has 104 self-service lockers, storage apps operate around the city, and LUGGit can collect your luggage at arrivals and deliver it wherever you’re going.

We checked the official prices in July 2026. Here’s what each option actually costs, and which one makes sense for how long you’re storing.

Official Porto Airport lockers: location, hours and prices

Porto Airport runs 104 self-service lockers in four sizes. You’ll find them on Floor -1, in the tunnel leading to the metro station – before security, so you can reach them whether you’re arriving, departing or connecting. They’re open 24 hours a day.

Lockers are charged in 3-hour blocks. You pay for the first block up front, and the locker won’t reopen until you’ve paid for any extra time when you collect. Prices include VAT.

Past 72 hours there’s an extra €25.20 per day, so lockers get expensive quickly for longer stays. For questions about a locker, the airport answers on (+351) 969 844 460 or porto.airport@ana.pt.

Two things worth knowing before you rely on them. There are only 104 lockers for the whole airport, so on busy summer mornings the larger sizes go first. And a locker is a fixed point – you have to come back to the airport to collect, which doesn’t work if you’re heading straight to a hotel or leaving from elsewhere.

Luggage storage apps near Porto Airport

Bounce, Nannybag and Qeepl partner with shops and hotels rather than running their own sites. Around Porto Airport the coverage is thin – most partner locations sit in the city centre, roughly 30 minutes away on metro line E.

Headline rates are also lower than what you usually pay. Bounce advertises Porto storage from €1.95/day, but the Porto locations we checked charge €3.50 to €4.95 per bag per day. Opening hours follow the host business, so a shop may close before an evening flight.

Why travellers use LUGGit at Porto Airport

The difference is which way you travel. With a locker, you go to the storage. With LUGGit, the storage comes to you. A Keeper (Driver) meets you at arrivals, seals each bag with a tamper-proof tag, and delivers it to your hotel, your Airbnb, or back to the airport for a later flight.

  • From €2 per bag – and the more bags you store, the lower the cost per bag.
  • No return trip – collect your bags where you actually are, not where you left them.
  • Flight tracking – if your flight moves, we adjust the booking.
  • Insured up to €1,200 per bag on the Flexible plan, with every bag sealed in front of you.
  • Any size – surfboards, bikes and golf clubs are fine, which airport lockers can’t always take.

Frequently asked questions

Is there luggage storage at Porto Airport?

Yes. We checked the airport’s own listing in July 2026: Porto Airport has 104 self-service lockers on Floor -1, in the tunnel leading to the metro. They sit before security and are open 24 hours, starting at €3.60 for a small locker for 3 hours. If you’d rather not come back to the airport to collect, LUGGit picks up at arrivals from €2/bag and delivers anywhere in Porto.

How much do Porto Airport lockers cost?

Lockers are charged in 3-hour blocks: €3.60 (S), €6.00 (M), €9.60 (L) and €14.40 (XL). A full 24 hours costs €8.40 to €24.00 depending on size, and past 72 hours there’s a €25.20 daily fee. All prices include VAT. For a full day with a couple of bags, LUGGit from €2/bag usually works out cheaper – and there’s no trip back to the airport.

Can I leave my luggage at Porto Airport and go into the city?

You can. The lockers sit before security on Floor -1, so you can store your bags and take metro line E into central Porto in about 30 minutes. Two catches: the locker only reopens once you’ve paid for the time used, and you have to return to the airport for your bags. If you’re ending the day somewhere else, a door-to-door pickup saves you the return leg.

Can I store luggage at Porto Airport for several days?

The lockers do allow multi-day storage, but the pricing climbs steeply – a small locker is €14.40 for 48 hours and €43.20 for 72 hours, then €25.20 for each extra day. For anything past a couple of days, LUGGit’s multi-day storage from €2/bag works out better, and we deliver the bags back when you need them.

What about large luggage or sports equipment at Porto Airport?

The airport’s largest locker (XL) measures 197 x 45 x 77.5 cm, which takes most skis and some boards but not bicycles or oversized cases, and it costs €14.40 for the first 3 hours. LUGGit handles bulky items like surfboards, bikes and instruments as standard, collected from wherever you are. Message us before booking if you’re unsure whether your item fits.
