What should Airbnb launch in 2022 and beyond?

At the beginning of the year, Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky asked on Twitter: “If Airbnb could launch anything in 2022, what would it be?”.

By January 5th, he had already amassed 4,000 suggestions, many of which were excellent ideas.
This was not the first time Chesky consulted Twitter for suggestions, as he had already done it on December 26th, 2016.
This direct approach can prove to be a great strategy. Through it, a company can not only discover new ways to improve but, at the same time, cultivate transparency and communication between itself and its customers.
We believe that, above all else, companies need to be customer-centric.
Moreover, since clients are the ones who use the service the most, it is only natural that they have excellent insights on ways to improve it.
What better way to understand what customers want if not by talking to them directly?
Chesky personally replied to the suggestions he found most interesting, simultaneously disclosing some of the ideas that Airbnb is already working on.
According to Chesky, the top suggestions were:

We have since learned that Airbnb considers long-term stays to be one of the travel trends for 2022 (and possibly the future):
“People will continue to spread out to thousands of towns and cities, and they will stay for weeks, months, or even longer.”
